Music was in Charles Paul Dickinson Jr.'s soul. Affectionately known to his family as "Paul" and to his friends as "DJ Paul", he was always ready to get the party started. His love for music gave him purpose. Paul was also an advocate bowler in his days gaining bragging rights with his 300 perfect score on a good night within his bowling league. Paul was a humble but determined man who never backed down from any obstacle. He was a hustler - always working to provide for his family. Paul served in the United States Air Force from 1961 - 1964. Where he served as a fire truck operator and a boxer, who participated in matches with athletes from other countries and went undefeated in the ring! He worked well with his hands as a tool and die maker until his job became obsolete. In his later years, he worked in the East Orange school system as a security guard where his passion for safety and respect was shown through his 15 years of service at Clifford J. Scott.

A Jersey boy through and through, Paul was born in Passaic to Charles Paul Dickinson Sr. and Natalie Long. He lived in Irvington, New Jersey for over 30 years until he and his bride, Annie moved to West Orange, NJ to live with his daughter and her family, where he loved to sit outside and listen to the Floyd Taylor radio station and broadcast his own music show over the internet.

Charles Paul Dickinson Jr is survived by his lovely wife, of nearly

50 years, Ann, two sisters, Theresa Knight, Joyce Dickinson and one

brother in law Nathan Knight Sr., He also had a, sister, Brenda Davis

and four brothers, Alfred, Howard and the twins ; five children:

Charles Paul Dickinson III, Nona Lisette Dickinson-Allen, Tonia Hope

Dickinson, Crystal Ann Dickinson and John Raymond Lawrence

Dickinson; son-in-laws, David Allen, Marlon Pinkney & Brandon Dirden;

grandchildren: Donovan, Ciara, Maya, Brittany, Ondia, Nigel, Elijah,

Davon & Chase; and greatgrand children: Layla, Bella & Aziyah.

Rounded out with plenty of nieces, nephews, cousins and

abundance of special friends.

Our wish is for Charles Paul Dickinson Jr. to keep jamming

with his oldies but goodies until we meet again.
