Obituary for Corinne N. Christiana (Kircher)
Corinne N. (nee Kircher) Christiana of Whiting N.J. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday January 30, 2022, at the age of 89.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 9, 1932 to the late Edith (nee Bischoff) and Charles Kircher. Corinne had lived in the Morganville, N.J. area for several years prior to moving to Whiting 31 years ago.
Corinne was an enrollment administrator for Programming Systems Institute (PSI) in New York, N.Y. PSI is where she met the love of her life Francis (Frank) X. Christiana and they subsequently married. They were married for 17 years before Frank passed away in 2001.
In addition to her parents and husband, Corinne was also predeceased by son Harry Seltzer, III, daughter, Charlotte Torchia, her sisters Joan Brunner and Edith Hotis, brothers Buddy Kircher, Kenneth Kircher, Gary Kircher, and William Kircher.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter Patricia Anne Lutfy and her husband James Lutfy, and daughter-in-love Maryjane Seltzer. Also surviving is daughter Marylou Wendell, Todd Torchia Sr. the surviving husband of Charlotte, brothers Jerry Kircher, James Kircher, and a sister Gail Thomas. Two stepchildren: Richard Christiana and his sister Jane Christiana Costantini.
Also cherished by 13 grandchildren: Melanie Jean Weaver (Bryan), Kristin Stefanie Hojnacki (Michael), Stacey Corinne Seltzer (Steven Bauer), Christopher Lutfy, Michael Lutfy (Annie), Stephen Lutfy (Lauren), Daniel Lutfy, Jonathan Torchia (Laura), Todd Torchia Jr, Julie Torchia, Adam Wendell-Pearson, Benjamin Wendell-Pearson, and Molly Wendell-Pearson, with 4 great-grandchildren: Genevieve Corinne Weaver, Lennon Edward Hojnacki, Madeleine Ann Hojnacki, and Lily Isabel Lutfy.
Over the years spending time with her family was extremely rewarding and satisfying. Corinne was known for her generosity with child-rearing advice and her recipes, which she shared with anyone who cared.
Memorial visitation will be held for Mrs. Christiana on Saturday February 5, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church, 2815 Morris Avenue, Union, N.J. followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Doctor Thomas Sigley will officiate. http://www.ccfou.org/live-stream/
