Obituary for Margaret Oliveri (McGhee)
Margaret (nee McGhee) Oliveri of Union, NJ passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the age of 81. She was born in Montclair, NJ to Elizabeth (nee Callaghan) & Neil McGhee on November 2, 1937. Margaret had lived in Elizabeth from 1975 to 2011 before moving to Union 8 years ago.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday, February 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ron Mowad Funeral Home & Cremation Service (located in the Galante Funeral Home), 2800 Morris Avenue, Union. Funeral services and prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 27th at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
Margaret enjoyed cooking, trips to Atlantic City, Wildwood Crest, Italy, and visiting relatives in Rhode Island with her family. She also liked listening to music with her friends.
She was also predeceased by her second husband, Domenico Oliveri who passed away in 2003 and her first husband Edward Lisi who passed away in 1965.
Margaret is survived by her devoted daughter Margaret Raylock, who took care of mother as her health declined. She is also survived by her cherished grandson Christopher and his fiancé Ashley Jackowski; sister-in-laws Eleanor Lisi, Deana Lisi; brother-in-law Ernest Lisi & his wife Joy; and many nieces & nephews. Margaret was also a dear friend of Marie Iuliano, Mike & Elaine Puma, and Theresa Blanco.
