Life Story for Gladys Perez (Santana)

Gladys (Santana) Perez , 80, of Union, NJ, was peacefully called home by the Lord on Friday, August 3rd 2018.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Wednesday, August 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ron Mowad Funeral Home and Cremation Service (Located in the Galante Funeral Home building), 2800 Morris Avenue, Union. A Christian Prayer Service will be held at the conclusion of the gathering hours. Interment will be private.

Gladys was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on March 9th, 1938 to the late Pedro and Manuela (Cornier) Santana. She settled in the United States in 1940’s.

She had lived in the Hudson County, New Jersey areas of West New York, Weehawken, Union City, Ridgefield and also in Florida before moving to back to New Jersey in 2009.

Gladys was a member of her church choir in Ridgefield, NJ. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, but most of all spending time doing community activities.

To cherish her memory Gladys is survived by her children Nanette Sayani, David Perez and Diana Perez; a brother Peter Santana; Granddaughter Christina Burnett with her husband Hamid; and great-grandchildren Saharah Roslyn Newby, Harper Saige Burnett and Hunter Samuel Burnett.
