Willie Pfeiffer of Union passed away on Friday February 28, 2014 at the age of 81. Born in Newark, where he had lived in the Vailsburg section for several years, prior to moving to Union in 1972. Willie was a Tool & Die Maker for the J.G. Tilp Company in Union for over 30 years before retiring in 1997. He was an Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Union American Legion and F & AM Union Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Pfeiffer is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Margaret T. (nee Pepe) Pfeiffer; children, Valerie Gaven & her husband Tim, William Pfeiffer & his wife Teresa, Henry Pfeiffer, and Nancy Mahoney & her husband Pat; grandchildren, Tiffany, Timothy, Samantha, Karl, Stephen and Maggie; and great-grandchildren, Leah and Kylie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 -4 & 7 – 9 p.m. at the Ron Mowad Funeral & Cremation Service (908-687-1182), 2800 Morris Ave, Union (in the Galante Funeral Home building) The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church (www.ccfou.org), 2815 Morris Avenue, Union. Dr. Thomas E. Sigley, Senior Pastor will be officiating. Cremation will be private.
